We have received a specific request from the Paraguayan Baptist Convention in conjunction with Lidia Klava, the Latin America Regional PEPE coordinator, for a primary/early years teacher to serve as a mid term mission worker or volunteer. This person will work specifically working with the PEPE pre-school mission programme (4-5 yr olds), amongst the growing number of indigenous tribal communities of the Achê and Maká tribes that are beginning the programme. A good level of Spanish is required for this position. After a period of orientation and experience within the mainstream PEPE programme, run by Baptist churches across Paraguay, the worker would organise his/ her location and timetable. They will spend most of their time helping the local indigenous missionary educators to develop their understanding and delivery of the preschool programme in their own communities. The worker would receive supervision and support form Lidia Klava who lives in Asunción.
