Sonia Jackson

Sonia is seconded from BUGB to London School of Theology (LST) as Director of Training – where she is responsible for personal, practical and spiritual formation of undergraduate students, and is also lecturer in mission.
 
She is also a member of Beechen Grove Baptist Church and part-time chaplain at Heathrow Airport. She says, “The very practical work at Heathrow keeps me on my toes as far as frontline mission is concerned and takes me completely out of my comfort zone. Working at LST is deeply satisfying as I see the growth and awareness of God and his calling on the lives of our students as I work with them in discerning their future spheres of ministry.”

Sonia has 20 years of varied experience of working with BMS World Mission (in Brazil, Sri Lanka and at IMC) and a quest for deeper, meaningful theological understanding of issues facing our mission today. This summer she will join the BMS Summer Team to China.
 
Sonia is married to David who shares her passion for mission and loyalty to BMS. She has “five adult, 'third-culture kids' and, to date, five grandchildren”.
