Tom and Caroline come from Oxford and are members of St Aldates Church. Tom worked on BMS home staff for seven years managing BMS’ team programmes. Tom is a qualified teacher, Caroline is a full-time mum. Before Abigail, Bethany and Matthew were born, Caroline studied history and has a doctorate in Ugandan history. In the summer of 2010, as they begin their time in Uganda, Abigail will be seven, Bethany five and Matthew one.
Having previously served on short-term mission teams and as short-term volunteers, they asked God whether he could use them as a family overseas.
God graciously led them through many natural and supernatural means to Uganda. They are taking on a co-ordinating role, working alongside the Baptist Union of Uganda, as it seeks to help rebuild broken communities in Christ’s name.
Tom is a passionate follower of football, but isn’t very good at playing it. He supports Everton and is delighted that Ugandans are more obsessed with the Premier league than most Brits. Caroline likes to swim, cook and read. Abigail and Bethany love to dance and swim. Matthew is very fond of eating.
