Andrea and Ian come from Hartlepool and are members of Owton Manor Baptist Church.
Both studied theology and missionary studies at Northumbria Bible College. Ian also has an honours degree in media technology and production from the University of Teeside.
Before joining BMS World Mission, Andrea was a music teacher and Ian was a qualified joiner/carpenter, before re-training in media and technology. In their local church they were involved in youth and children’s work. Ian was also part of the leadership as well as grants co-ordinator for church groups.
Ian is involved in editing and producing Christian TV programmes for distribution into North Africa. Andrea works in the studio in various roles, including make-up artist and production assistant. Ian likes American football, computers and all things media, while Andrea enjoys music and drama. As a family they all enjoy going to the cinema and ten-pin bowling.
