The Link Up programme is a great opportunity for your church to build a personal relationship and have direct contact with a mission worker, to become more involved in their work, share their experiences and receive first hand information about what’s happening in the world around you. Your church will also be giving our mission personnel much needed support and encouraging them in the work that they are doing.
Introducing Link Up in your church
Why not consider starting a Link Up with a BMS World mission worker and discover together how lives can be changed with life changing initiatives? Through the Link Up programme your church will engage with the challenges faced by mission workers such as crossing new cultures and language barriers.
You will receive regular updates and resources to help you pray specifically for the needs of mission workers and countries in an increasingly dangerous and changing world. You will also receive regular resources from BMS to help you promote world mission in your church. See The Equipment.
Why not consider linking up with one of our mid-term mission workers as well as our long term mission workers? Link Up groups may wish to select a mid-term worker to run alongside a full-time mission worker.
The mid-term programme offers placements of between two and four years for individuals and couples. It aims to bridge the gap between long-term mission with BMS and the short-term volunteer programme. The programme has numerous benefits. Going longer overseas means skills can be greater used and people can engage more deeply with the different culture. It’s also designed to provide stability in jobs.
